detail-oriented, organized, and dedicated Medical Records Specialist to join our Medical Records and Quality Management (QM) Department.

Your Role in Our Mission
As a
Medical Records Specialist, your role is vital to the smooth operation of our Medical Records and QM Department. You will process and release patient information in accordance with valid consents, HIPAA, and other federal privacy regulations — all while ensuring data accuracy and maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality.

This is a
remote position (Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.) with a
competitive hourly rate of $16.00–$18.00 based on experience. Candidates must reside within
60 miles of Winterville, NC, and be available for
occasional travel to attend training sessions, team meetings, or administrative duties.

What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a reliable, detail-oriented professional who values accuracy, compliance, and patient confidentiality. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential in this patient- and partner-facing role.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or 2+ years of medical records experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA and medical records processes
- Excellent organizational, time management, multitasking, and communication skills
- Notary Public preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid NC driver’s license and insurance required
