Position Summary
Be the force behind a high-performing, world-class distribution campus.
As Facility Maintenance Manager, you will lead the teams and systems that keep our campus operating safely, efficiently, and at peak performance. You'll own the reliability of critical infrastructure, equipment, and sanitation operations-ensuring our facility is always ready to support a fast-moving, 24/7 operation.
This is a hands-on leadership role with broad influence. You will shape maintenance strategy, manage budgets, lead capital projects, build a high-performing technical team, and drive a culture of safety, sanitation, and continuous improvement. What You'll Lead & Deliver
People Leadership & Team Development
• Lead, coach, and inspire maintenance and sanitation teams, with full accountability for hiring, training, performance management, and engagement.
• Build technical capability by ensuring associates complete required training, certifications, and ongoing skill development.
• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and pride in craftsmanship.
• Motivate teams to maintain a clean, organized, and high-performing maintenance operation.
Operational Excellence & Reliability
• Ensure all facilities, grounds, and equipment are safe, clean, and fully operational to maximize uptime and productivity.
• Monitor equipment utilization, performance, and condition to minimize unplanned downtime and prevent costly failures.
• Lead emergency response efforts and ensure business continuity during unforeseen events.
• Drive continuous improvement in maintenance processes, preventive maintenance programs, and reliability practices.
Financial & Budget Accountability
• Own the Facilities department budget, managing labor, repairs, maintenance contracts, and supplies to meet financial targets.
• Monitor productivity and quality to achieve department KPIs and performance standards.
• Optimize parts inventory to balance availability, cost control, and working capital efficiency.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors for services and materials.
Capital Projects & Infrastructure Growth
• Partner with the Regional Facility Manager to oversee large-scale capital projects.
• Independently lead smaller capital initiatives from planning through execution.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality and safety standards.
Safety, Sanitation & Compliance Leadership
• Create and sustain a best-in-class culture of safety and sanitation.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal standard operating procedures.
• Maintain required documentation and records to support audits and certifications.
• Lead or support campus-wide safety programs and initiatives.
Technical Expertise & Systems Stewardship
• Provide hands-on leadership in electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems repair.
• Support industrial refrigeration, forklift maintenance, and material handling systems.
• Apply working knowledge of conveyors, automation, and pick-to-light systems (as applicable).
• Ensure optimal performance of all building systems and critical equipment.
What We're Looking For
Experience & Education
• 8-10 years of experience in facility maintenance, including 2-3 years in a leadership role
• Associate's degree or advanced specialized training in facilities management or related technical field
Leadership & Professional Skills
• Proven people leader with strong coaching, communication, and team-building skills
• Highly organized, with the ability to plan, prioritize, and execute in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities and shifting demands
• Strong interpersonal and vendor negotiation skills
• Ability to align teams with department goals and broader business objectives
• Commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence
Work Environment & Schedule
• Flexible schedule and availability to support a 24/7 operation
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures (-5°F to 90°F), concrete floors, and powered industrial equipment
• Ability to read and understand written and numeric product identifiers
• Compliance with all regulatory requirements
