Marketing Program Manager – Georgia Power Economic Development
There will be an in-office presence expectation at 75 5th Street NW, Atlanta, GA four (4) days per week and/or as additionally required.
Please be advised; There will be required travel related to community events to produce content for stories (Approx. 25%) including nights & weekends (if needed.)
We are looking for a Marketing Program Manager to join our Economic Development team. You’ll help us bring new businesses and jobs to Georgia with your love for digital marketing and storytelling and knack for bringing them to life across all channels, including SelectGeorgia.com and GrowGeorgia.com.
You’ll work in the heart of Midtown Atlanta at Technology Square!
Core Responsibilities
- Support the regional economic development team with strategic marketing that promotes their programs, work, and success stories.
- Lead digital marketing strategy across GrowGeorgia.com, SelectGeorgia.com, and social media channels.
- Develop compelling written and visual content in collaboration with the Lead Content Producer. Produce quarterly newsletters.
- Drive lead generation through targeted campaigns, trade show content, and optimized digital experiences.
- Maintain brand voice and work closely with Corporate Affairs to ensure brand consistency and message alignment.
- Plan, manage, and measure marketing campaigns, KPIs, and budgets.
- Stay current on content marketing, SEO, and digital trends to continually improve performance.
- Provide support for significant projects, executive initiatives, sponsorships, and other economic development team members in collaboration with the Lead Content Producer.
Day‑to‑Day Activities
- Oversee content calendars, project timelines, and brand alignment.
- Brainstorm and develop story ideas with content partners & subject matter experts.
- Optimize and create content such as social media posts, blogs, landing pages, videos, ads, and infographics.
- Manage and track campaign performance data and recommend improvements.
- Coordinate marketing support for trade shows, events, and lead‑capture efforts.
- Update and enhance the team’s digital presence across multiple platforms.
Requirements
- 3 to 6 years of experience managing marketing programs and content with measurable results. Bachelor’s degree in business/project management or marketing equivalent is preferred.
- Strong understanding of SEO, content strategy, digital analytics, and related software.
- Experience with content management and digital asset systems.
- Demonstrated ability to create content that attracts and engages target audiences.
- Knowledge of best practices for LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and similar platforms.
- Ability to manage vendors and contractors.
- Travel related to community events to produce content for stories (25%)
- Copywriting and photography experience a plus.
