The Corporate Impact Analyst will play a key role in managing Southern Company Gas charitable giving data and performance from its programs and initiatives across all Gas entities. This role will collect, enter, and analyze data, develop reports, and provide insights to inform decision-making and enhance the company's corporate impact strategies. The incumbent will be responsible for analyzing charitable requests, data entry, evaluating impact metrics, and recommending enhancements to maximize the effectiveness of our philanthropic efforts.
MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct research and analysis to assess the impact of the company's charitable giving projects, and initiatives on various stakeholders, including employees, customers, and the communities we serve.
- Develop and maintain systems for tracking and reporting on charitable giving activities, including grant disbursements, budget allocations, and impact metrics.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders involved in community engagement and charitable giving, including departments such as Sustainability, Corporate Communications, and Finance, to gather relevant data and insights for impact assessment.
- Prepare regular reports, presentations, and dashboards to communicate the company's corporate impact performance to internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, investors, regulatory agencies, and community partners.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to corporate responsibility and sustainability, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and findings to diverse audiences
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in corporate social responsibility, business, marketing, data reporting, impact analysis, or related fields, preferably within the utilities or energy sector.
- Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in data collection, manipulation, and visualization using tools such as Excel, Tableau, or similar software.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data and concepts into clear, compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Competence in MS office tools and learning new software.
