Organizational Effectiveness Manager
Job Summary: The Organizational Effectiveness (OR) Manager provides strategic perspective and engagement in all aspects of organizational effectiveness, including leadership and teamwork attributes, for identification of early signs of performance decline. The OR Manager maintains independence from the site team with respect to perform functions and will provide mentoring, coaching and insights aligned with the INPO 15-005 Leadership and Team Effectiveness, INPO 19-003 Staying on Top Advancing a Culture of Continuous Improvement (SOT) and SNC Leadership attributes to address these signs before they become consequential or result in significant performance decline.
The OR Manager reports to the Director of Organizational Effectiveness CFAM and is an active participant in the peer team.
Job Requirements :
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor of science in a related field (psychology, engineering, science, human resources, business, etc.)
- 7 years of nuclear experience, preferably in multiple functional areas (operations, maintenance, engineering or areas of technical supporting functions, including Human Resources).
- 5 years of supervisory/management experience.
- SRO license or certification is preferred.
- INPO rotation as an OR leader (ORL) highly desired.

- Intervene and challenge leaders courageously when performance standards are not met or outcomes are not achieved.
- Maintain a broad understanding of INPO Performance Objectives and Criteria (PO&C) across multiple functional areas.
- Apply knowledge of INPO 15-005, Leadership and Team Effectiveness Attributes, and INPO 19-003, Staying on Top: Advancing a Culture of Continuous Improvement.
- Resolve conflicts effectively using strong conflict management skills.
- Obtain and maintain unescorted nuclear plant access.
Major Job Responsibilities :
- Accountable for site performance with emphasis on organizational and cross functional areas.
- Provides continuous monitoring and oversight of site performance, including emergent issues, and identifies signs of declines.
- Monitors and evaluates leader and teamwork performance and provides independent assessment and recommendations to leadership team as it relates to Leadership and Teamwork Effectiveness Attributes (LE/TE) and Staying on Top (SOT) Values, by observing various site meetings, field, and training activities.
- Completes organizational assessments, diagnostics, and solution recommendations and in some cases implementation of interventions as it relates to organizational effectiveness.
- Provides coaching to the senior leadership team with respect to LE/TE attributes and SOT values.
- Serves as a strategic partner to the Site VP and Plant Manager.
- Monitors industry trends and best practices to identify opportunities for innovation and performance enhancement.
- Maintains OR scorecard for assigned station.
- Works with the corporate support organization for timely intervention when subtle signs are detected.
- Collaborates with SVP/PM on station’s responsiveness to identified OR gaps and ensures the effectiveness of station actions to address these gaps.
- Participates in mid-cycle assessments and other station assessments.
- Provides oversight of INPO/WANO pre- evaluation binning exercises and identification of station gap focus areas and strengths
- Participates in Governance and Oversight functions such as bi-weekly phone calls.
- Collaborates with HR, Talent Management and SVP/PGM on leadership development and team building opportunities for the station leadership team.
- Collaborate with other site OR Managers to ensure consistency and effectiveness of the site’s leadership team as well as identify any potential fleet wide trends to address.
- Provides support of station continuous improvement plans and site excellence plans with emphasis on LE, TE, and SOT attributes.
- Participates as an active member of the OR Manager Peer team to implement fleet wide actions and set priorities for the fleet in the functional area.
- Participates on industry working groups to learn and implement industry best practices in the areas of organizational effectiveness.
- Conducts teaching and learning, training and workshops to enhance employee skills around organizational effectiveness.
- Holds specific site ERO duties.
