JOB SUMMARY
The ERM Analyst supports the enterprise-wide risk management program by identifying, assessing, and communicating key risks across the organization. This role partners with business units, functional teams, and senior leadership to support risk assessments, risk reporting, analysis, and governance activities. The position offers exposure to strategic, operational, financial, and emerging risk topics with opportunities to develop new and enhance risk analytics to support informed decision making and enterprise resilience. The role follows a flexible hybrid schedule, averaging four days in the office per week.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Business, Risk Management, Economics, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field
- Ability to think broadly about strategic, operational, and tactical risks and apply risk concepts in a practical, enterprise context
- Ability to take ownership and help drive enterprise‑wide risk assessment and risk profile processes from planning through delivery
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and organizational skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
- Strong relationship‑building and collaboration skills, including the ability to influence and build consensus across the organization
- Experience or familiarity with the energy/utility industry preferred
- Broad knowledge of enterprise risk assessment and management concepts, with a curiosity and learning mindset focused on enterprise risk, resilience, and related topics
- Demonstrate a creative approach to process improvement, engagement, and communications
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (particularly Excel); experience with reporting, dashboards, analytics tools (e.g., Power BI), and the ability to leverage or quickly learn emerging technologies, including AI‑enabled tools, to support analysis and decision‑making preferred.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with subsidiaries and business units to ensure the ERM Framework is consistently interpreted and applied
- Coordinate and support the enterprise‑wide risk assessment and risk profile processes, including planning, execution, and consolidation
- Actively engage with operating companies and major functional areas, including development and communication of risk assessment guidelines, templates, and deliverables
- Enhance analysis and consolidation of risks across subsidiaries and business units, identifying trends and interdependencies
- Support and contribute to the identification of key risk areas, including emerging and cross-cutting risks
- Support risk oversight activities for management councils and the Board of Directors through reporting and meeting preparation
- Coordinate with Internal Auditing, Corporate Compliance, and other risk and assurance functions to support integration and information sharing
- Stay current on ERM best practices, regulatory expectations, and industry standards
- Develop strategies for the continuous improvement of ERM processes, tools, and reporting to enhance leadership decision‑making
- Participate in select business continuity and/or crisis management initiatives, as needed, to gain exposure to enterprise risk mitigation and response practices.
- Provide ad-hoc risk analysis and decision-support as needed
