Job Summary
The Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) supports the Manager, FP&A in delivering financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analytical support across business operations, including rental and service operations, manufacturing, and product sales. This role is responsible for preparing detailed financial analyses, developing models, and producing management reporting that enables operational and executive leadership to understand performance drivers, evaluate opportunities, and make informed decisions.
The Senior Financial Analyst partners closely with operational leaders, accounting, and cross-functional teams to analyze financial results, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives. This role is hands-on and execution-focused, with opportunities to influence business outcomes through data-driven insights and continuous process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning across multiple business lines
- Build and maintain financial models supporting revenue, cost, utilization, capacity, and margin analysis
- Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting, including variance analysis vs. budget and forecast
- Analyze KPIs such as profitability, utilization, manufacturing variances, pricing, and overhead absorption
- Partner with operations, sales, supply chain, and accounting to provide actionable financial insights
- Support capital investment analysis, ROI modeling, and strategic initiatives (including M&A support as needed)
- Assist with monthly close activities, accruals, and journal entries
- Contribute to process improvement, reporting automation, and system enhancements
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 4–7 years of FP&A or corporate finance experience
- Experience in manufacturing, services, rental, or asset-intensive environments preferred
- Strong financial modeling, analytical, and Excel skills
- Familiarity with ERP and financial planning systems
- Effective communicator with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-finance partners
- CPA, CMA, or MBA a plus
