Arizent the parent company of American Banker, The Bond Buyer, National Mortgage News, Digital Insurance, Financial Planning and other leading media brands within the financial and professional services sectors, is seeking an experienced research professional to join our marketing services team.
This client-facing role will be responsible for directing research initiatives that deliver critical insights and intelligence that differentiate Arizent and create opportunities for our marketing services customers to foster connections with decision makers across the financial and professional services sectors to drive business growth. Developing strong customer relationships and presenting research opportunities, results and recommendations to clients will be a key priority.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with an innate sense of curiosity who enjoys digging in to help clients leverage data and market insights to advance key strategic business and marketing objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively direct and guide client engagements, leading the definition, design, interpretation and reporting of results from a diverse range of custom research programs
- Develop and apply deep subject matter expertise of relevant business segments, market dynamics, and trends
- Moderate research-based podcasts, web seminars, virtual and live panel discussions in support of client engagements as needed
- Help to identify and architect new research program offerings to drive deeper customer engagement and open up new revenue streams
- Provide direction, mentorship, and performance feedback; foster professional growth for direct reports
Qualifications
- Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Market Research, Social Sciences, Economics, or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience
- 10+ years of primary research experience, with some experience on the supplier side
- Deep knowledge of quantitative as well as qualitative research approaches and applied knowledge of statistical methods
- Experience conducting B2B research across a variety of industry sectors and familiarity with the media industry
- Strong analytical skills and proven ability to synthesize and translate data into meaningful, actionable insights and recommendations
- Ability to effectively communicate detailed customer/market insights and data in a compelling and actionable manner
- Strong public speaking skills with experience moderating in-person and virtual panels, webinars, and other events
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team setting while also being a leader
- Must be self-directed with ability to manage multiple projects of varying complexity at once (with efficiency and accuracy)
- Comfortable in a very fast-paced environment and likes to be challenged
