As a Major Account Executive New Accounts, you will be responsible for:
- Taking ownership of new business by selling new and additional services to existing or adjacent DoD agencies
- Identifying, developing and closing new business with prospective Akamai customers through successful engagements and relationship building
- Delivering joint value proposition through in-person meetings, conference calls, sales activities, trainings and other event
- Being a trusted advisor to our customers and leading the integrated account team to deliver success
- Championing and maintaining trusted high-level relationships with customers and field teams through business understanding and knowledge
Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:
- Possess 5+ of experience and a background in selling to DoD and Intelligence agencies.
- Possess experience selling enterprise-class technology in classified environments, including Zero Trust, ICAM and edge security for networks like NIPRNet, SIPRNet and JWICS
- Show success in strategic greenfield sales and building long-term relationships with senior DoD officials.
- Be well-versed in navigating complex procurement paths, including compliance with IL5/IL6 and ICD 705 standards
- Excel in long-term impact environments prioritizing mission support, customer focus, security, and national defense.
