You will demonstrate sales strategy and leadership to assist in identifying and closing new business. You will focus on high growth areas of opportunity, within Akamai API Security across verticals and New Customer acquisition, requiring an entrepreneurial leader.
As a Strategic Sales Director, you will be responsible for:
- Leading a team of 7+ Regional Sales Manager in the Eastern United States
- Providing direction and guidance to Regional Sales Managers, strategically planning to enable quota attainment across the regions
- Supporting the regions in achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue and bookings goals
- Working with cross functional teams to ensure alignment and resources
- Leading the team by recruiting, retaining, and developing a deep bench ensuring the continuity of the business

To be successful in this role you will:
- Have experience developing and managing high performing teams with proven success
- Demonstrate success in developing and implementing successful sales processes
- Be able to show good experience with successful new customer acquisition programs
- Demonstrate a vast background and understanding of Cybersecurity, API Application Security, and Cloud Service Provider markets
- Have 12 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree
