We are seeking a skilled and motivated Marketing Data Analyst to join our Customer Analytics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating insightful data visualizations, analyzing complex datasets, performing queries, and generating reports to support our internal partners. The analyst will work with customer and marketing data, such as demographics, marketing programs, and business intelligence insights to support strategic decision-making across Customer Solutions & Business Development. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with our customers within CSBD, particularly to convey analytical concepts to non-technical audiences. The Data Analyst will partner with our internal clients to understand their business needs and provide data solutions to support their objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain data visualizations using tools such as PowerBI or Databricks to communicate insights and trends effectively
- Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and insights that drive business decisions
- Perform data queries using SQL to extract and manipulate data from various sources
- Generate comprehensive reports and dashboards to support internal stakeholders in decision-making processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver solutions that meet business objectives
- Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address data-related challenges and provide actionable recommendations.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity through data cleaning, preparation, and transformation processes
- This role focuses on data preparation, visualization, and reporting, while supporting advanced analytics initiatives led by the Data Science team
- Continuously learn and apply new data analysis techniques and tools to enhance team capabilities
Candidates with the below criteria are encouraged to apply:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Previous experience in a data analysis role, preferably within a customer analytics or similar environment
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience with data visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Databricks, etc)
- Strong Excel skills for data analysis and reporting
- Experience with SQL for data querying and manipulation
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Experience in data cleaning and transformation processes
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- A mindset focused on continuous learning and improvement
- Experience with statistical programming languages such as Python, PySpark, R. would be a plus
- Familiarity with data platforms such as Databricks or Azure would be a plus
