At
Easterseals PORT Health (ESPH), our mission is rooted in empowering individuals and strengthening communities. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Dietitian to support our group homes across North Carolina. In this role, you will partner with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities and mental health challenges, helping them thrive through improved nutrition and personalized dietary planning.
We are looking for someone with a
grounded yet vibrant personality—a professional who brings warmth, compassion, and energy to their work. Your expertise will directly enhance the
quality of life for our residents by creating nutrition plans that respect each person’s health needs, cultural background, personal preferences, and dislikes. The position does require travel to our many group homes in North Carolina to collaborate with our team of RNs, Program Directors and Direct Support Professionals.
Your Role In Our Mission
The Registered Dietitian is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring nutrition and dietary programs that promote the health and well-being of adults residing in community-based residential settings. This role ensures that all menus and meal plans meet residents’ individual nutritional needs, dietary restrictions, and cultural preferences. The Dietitian collaborates closely with Registered Nurses, Program Directors, and Direct Support Professionals to support optimal health outcomes through balanced nutrition, education, and evidence-based dietary practices.

Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary: $70,000 to $75,000 for this full-time exempt position.

What We’re Looking For
- Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
- Current state licensure (if applicable).
- Minimum 2 years of experience working as a Registered Dietitian is preferred, but not required. Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or mental health conditions preferred.
- Reliable transportation sufficient to meet program and travel requirements.
- Valid unrestricted North Carolina driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current vehicle insurance.
- Knowledge of special diets, therapeutic nutrition, and menu planning for diverse health needs.
