Description
The Team Leader is responsible for overseeing personnel and production within their assigned team, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. Reporting to the Inventory Manager, they manage training, workflow, and continuous improvement initiatives. The role includes hands-on tasks in shipping, receiving, production, and housekeeping, while also maintaining accurate reporting and compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise up to 15 operators and all Shop Orders in assigned Work Centers.
- Monitor and report on production schedules, quality, and safety.
- Lead training and ensure team adherence to procedures and standards.
- Manage inventory, shipping, and receiving processes.
- Execute Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and correct data entry errors in IFS.
- Identify and implement safety and process improvements.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Proven leadership experience in manufacturing or distribution.
- Strong time and project management skills.
- Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., IFS) and general computer use.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Work Conditions
- Physical activity including standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to varying environmental conditions and mechanical equipment.
