The Planning Team Leader is responsible for meticulously planning and scheduling both outage and daily maintenance activities for McDonough Combined Cycle Plant. The Planning Team Leader plays a pivotal role in ensuring operational excellence and continuous improvement the entire plant.

Key Responsibilities
- Leadership and Team Management: Effectively lead a team of individual contributor direct reports, including maintenance and CBM specialists. Foster an environment of teamwork, self-motivation, open communication, and customer support.
- Planning and Scheduling: Develop and implement a four-weekmaintenance plan utilizing Maximo - Enterprise Solutions tools. Provide effective planning, scheduling, and coordination of unit outages, ensuring adherence to the schedule and quality of work as defined in Chapter VI of the Generation Playbook. Collaborate with the Regional Planning Team to successfully execute regional planning deliverables.
- Process Documentation: Document planning processes and procedures, clearly defining daily tasks for each role. Ensure proper documentation is stored in Maximo to capture necessary historical information on equipment and facilitate knowledge transfer.
- Performance Management: Utilize key performance indicators (KPIs) to trend and measure the effectiveness of, and adherence to, the daily work plan. Ensure key performance indicators for outage planning are met.
- Resource Coordination: Work closely with the warehouse, maintenance specialists, and system owners to identify critical parts and ensure availability when needed. Administer contractor labor module and on-site contractor supplemental support.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead efforts to continuously improve maintenance strategy by ensuring full integration of equipment data, condition-based maintenance (CBM), Operations, OIS data, system owners, and subject matter experts.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks to the critical path of projects, ensuring timely unit shutdowns and startups by being prepared, proactive, and following critical path milestones (CPMs).
- Communication: Provide regular updates to leaders, team members, and stakeholders on project plans, progress, and any potential issues, ensuring transparency and alignment across all levels.
- Budget Management: Develop and oversee outage O&M and capital budgets.
- Safety and Compliance: Champion safety in all activities, safely approaching every job, every day. Prioritize decisions by safety, compliance, and reliability.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Technical Proficiency: Thorough understanding and demonstrated experience in the use of Maximo, Tableau, Excel, Primavera P6, and CIMs for daily planning (Preferred).
- Operational Experience: Operations, Maintenance, and/or Planning experience (Required). Understanding of plant equipment, systems, and operations (Preferred).
- Project Management: Demonstrated experience in project management, including planning, executing, and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, coordinate resources, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Leadership Skills: Supervisory experience, including performance management (Preferred). Combined Cycle Power Plant experience (Preferred).
- Contract Knowledge: Understanding of Long-Term Service Agreements (LTSA) and IBEW contract (Preferred).
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to make decisions and think strategically, both short-term and long-term.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated planning and organization skills, including budget management.
