JOB SUMMARY

This position will be responsible to provide day-to-day operational and administrative support to the legal department on new and existing legal systems and processes including rates management, maintaining legal documents and repositories, and processing weekly spend reports. This position will also provide overall analytical and e-discovery support.

JOB REQUIREMENT

Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required.


Required:

  • Minimum 1 year of professional experience
  • Previous experience working with any combination of billing process and rates, data analysis, and client service.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Highly motivated with strong organizational skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to manage and teach others legal operations management systems and processes.
  • Ability to handle heavy workload and meet critical deadlines.


Preferred:

  • A minimum of three years of experience working in legal operations for a medium or large company or law firm.
  • Familiarity with matter or case management systems (e.g., Legal Tracker, Passport or CounselLink).
  • Familiarity with e-discovery-related platforms or process for the collection, preservation, and organization of electronically stored information (ESI).
  • Familiarity with legal document management systems or other applications such as PowerBi, OnBase, iManage, or Tableau.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Help create and report metrics and trends on key data points aligned with the legal department objectives and plans, as well as overall department effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Help manage financial operations of the legal department, including budgeting, forecasting, and tracking costs.
  • Help maintain confidential repositories containing contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Create and maintain training and technical materials to provide technical support to legal teammates on new tools and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external groups, including Human Resources (HR), Technology Organization (TO), external counsel, attorneys, and legal teams.
  • Participate in other projects in support of assignments related to the overall goals of the legal department.
  • Perform ad hoc tasks as required.
  • This is a hybrid position requiring a set three days per week in-office schedule.
