Job Summary:

The position is responsible for leading the business process changes, maintenance, and engagement to drive the future state of Source to Pay. This role will oversee the optimization of the enterprise end-to-end source-to-pay process. This position will help improve and streamline the procurement operations, vendor relationships, and ensure the seamless execution of procurement activities. In this role, the individual will be accountable for guiding a minimum of 4 process teams, led by process leaders, with multiple process performers represented. This role will involve direct coordination with the Maximo COE and SCM leadership for the level 2 processes supported by those teams. The position will report to the Director of Process Management.

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead through Influence:

  • Inspire and motivate team members to achieve organizational goals.

  • Lead the organization through process changes, encouraging the adoption of new methodologies and tools for Source to Pay.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and prioritize changes that align with the company's strategic direction.
  • Drive the cultural shift towards continuous improvement in business processes.


Collaboration and Communication:

  • Lead and articulate the vision, goals, and expectations of Source to Pay clearly and effectively to team members. Active listen to understand the perspectives and concerns of the key stakeholders to adapt to new challenges, seize opportunities, and continuously improve.
  • Work across all business units and functional areas within Southern Company to ensure cohesive process management.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to gain buy-in and support for process initiatives.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
  • Must have a minimum of 10 years of professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in the electric or gas utility industry with at least 3 years of experience leading cross-functional departments and teams preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Source to Pay processes and their integration within the Southern Company's organizational framework.
  • Lead and drive strategic changes in the Source to Pay processes, ensuring their alignment with Southern Company's future objectives.
  • Strong business knowledge and understanding of supply chain, accounting and Oracle Fusion and Maximo.
  • Proven track record in leading and managing business process changes and improvements.
  • Experience coaching and mentoring teams, promoting self-organization and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to navigate stakeholder relationships and coordinate cross-functional efforts.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Monitor key performance indicators to gauge the success of process changes and drive continuous improvement.
  • Partners with business leaders across the organization and works closely with the technology organization to ensure resources and strategies are aligned to current and future needs of the business.
  • Broad knowledge of the utility business functions and an understanding of how the Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain and Treasury functions add value to these organizations.
  • Ability to lead and manage through change. Should be recognized as a change agent.
  • Understanding of Source to Pay business process and data flows; Acumen in Middle-Ware Integrations; Sales and Use Tax processing; Experience in Procure to Pay E2E Flows
  • Demonstrates knowledge of database structure and SQL Literacy
  • Exhibits Oracle Business Rules Knowledge
  • High degree of initiative and personal ownership
