We are looking for a skilled, resourceful, and collaborative Environmental Engineer to join our team in our Boston Office. The Environmental Engineer will work closely with a team of staff engineers and scientists on challenging and exciting projects largely in urban environments.  This is a fast-paced and dynamic position, with opportunities to be challenged, contribute to project outcomes, interact routinely with Project Managers and Principals, and grow professionally.

Essential Functions – What You Will Do

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.   • Perform environmental and hydrogeologic investigations on assessment and remediation projects.
  • Collect, interpret, and analyze field data.
  • Assess contaminant fate and transport, develop conceptual site models, and evaluate risks.
  • Assist senior engineers in developing recommendations for environmental strategies, remedial alternatives, and remediation designs.
  • Preparation of technical reports and other deliverables.

Competencies – What We Are Looking For

  • 0 to 2 years of relevant experience working on environmental field projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Geology or Hydrogeology (master’s degree preferable).
  • Strong attention to detail and technical understanding.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills combined with the flexibility to work with shifting priorities.
  • Client-service orientation with the ability to anticipate needs and deliver to meet expectations. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Work well as a team member, with a collaborative communication style.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience providing MCP consulting services for urban development projects.
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification and health and safety training.
  • Nuclear density gauge certification and DOT HAZMAT training.
