Position Overview
AbilityLinks is seeking a motivated and professional Sales & Sponsorship Outreach Intern to support our employer and sponsor engagement efforts. This unpaid internship offers hands-on experience in sales, relationship-building, and nonprofit development while directly contributing to our mission of expanding employment opportunities.
The intern will assist in identifying and contacting potential sponsors and employer partners, helping grow AbilityLinks’ impact nationwide. This is an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates interested in sales, nonprofit development, business, marketing, or social impact careers.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify prospective sponsors and employer partners
- Conduct outreach via email, LinkedIn, and phone using approved templates
- Assist with follow-up communications and relationship tracking
- Maintain accurate records in CRM and outreach spreadsheets
- Support preparation of sponsorship materials and talking points
- Collaborate with the AbilityLinks team to refine outreach strategies
- Participate in weekly check-ins to review progress and goals
Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable with outreach, relationship-building, and professional follow-up
- Organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
- Interest in sales, partnerships, nonprofit work, or social impact
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Familiarity with LinkedIn, email outreach, or CRM tools is a plus (training provided)
Time Commitment & Schedule
10–15 hours per week
Flexible scheduling within standard business hours
Internship runs from late January through mid May
